NIGHT ON EARTH I

Day 21: I miss the communal disbelief in the face of a thousand commuters catching up on the latest on our devices, the frown let out upon learning about another baffling piece of self-seeking incompetence from the idiots we trusted our future. Now, watching these same hapless and badly dressed characters, from the open-endedness of my isolation, trying to slogan their way through a crisis they didn’t for once invent, makes my powerlessness a lonesome one.
