Day 77: The Bavarian Grand Hotel Sonnenbichl has been hit by scandal. Four women have decided to elope! The oligarch isolating at the much grander Grand Hotel Klosterhof across the lake, could offer them unlimited access to the world-famous black clay spa found on the premises. Needless to say the King is infuriated. He’s now left with the unacceptable low number of ONLY 10 females – seen here enjoying a rare break away from his attentiveness. We stay tuned for all updates from the alps.

The series charting the lockdown adventures of The King of Thailand and his 20 concubines became a returning feature of my Windows Book, in which I made daily drawings and observations throughout the first lockdown.  I therefore saw it fitting to send them off to its new owner in a box made out of its gutted cover. Seems so long ago now - pandemic innocence. I wonder what he might be doing now, and if he demanded a fresh batch to cope with the pressures of his Bavarian hilltop reign.
