Day 55: A serious situation have developed: disruptions to the supply chain means local stores have run out of razors! Pubes galore, the king have retired to his suite and won’t be seen until the situation have been rectified! And due to unprecedented demands on Harrod’s delivery helicopters he may well have to wait for over a day!
In his absence, his entourage have had to resort to each other’s pleasures, and a careful count will also reveal that we’re now down to a mere 14 women – as three of them fell pregnant and were sent back to their villages.
We‘re staying tuned for any developments.
The series charting the lockdown adventures of The King of Thailand and his 20 concubines became a returning feature of my Windows Book, in which I made daily drawings and observations throughout the first lockdown. I therefore saw it fitting to send them off to its new owner in a box made out of its gutted cover. Seems so long ago now - pandemic innocence. I wonder what he might be doing now, and whether he demanded a fresh batch to cope with the pressures of his Bavarian hilltop reign.
