“Violence raged across the summer of 1968 and Richard Nixon, standing on a law and order platform went on to beat Hubert Humphrey for the White House.”

This is racial violence by design - peaceful protest is the best cure against this unfathomable evil.

First-hand account from a friend in Dallas:

“They were beating up civilians, elderly or otherwise, and horses brought in by police. They were brought in from out of town by the looks of a lot of their behavior and some seemed to be on euphoria inducing drugs. By “they” I mean the “protesters.” Protests are often infiltrated by agents of chaos but it’s like 3 to 10. This was 8 to 10. The police was abusing power as well but it was hard to even tell who to fear.”
