DAY 52
BACK TO SCHOOL
Day 52: opinions brewing on social media whether to bring our children back to school in a couple of weeks, with the usual split between those for and against. It’s societal insanity to believe this is a matter of personal opinion at all. We should at this stage be guided by good science only, not corrupt and divisive politics. Without solid measures put in place, such as mass testing and contact tracing, or a clear plan for how to restructure the learning environment, we would be putting teachers, staff and the community at large in harms way by sending our children back to school. We are successfully being duped by slogans passing the political buck over to the NHS, and the weird romantic idea that we need to take this on the proverbial chin, and accept the mountains of unnecessary deaths as collateral. Stop painting fucking rainbows: we need to use our only windows to the world for something more useful and urgent.
